Well, the first 2 weeks went quite well…I see there are a bunch of new faces in the League….WELCOME to the big leagues.
One of the things we’ve tried to incorporate in 60+ hockey is to have a medical form completed in case of an emergency so that the on-ice players know what to do and who to call in a situation.
The player medical form is on our website:
It requires a 15-20 minute session to explain the form and outline the procedure for calling 911 and getting the assistance required to deal with an emergency.
It’s not a prerequisite to play, but it is very important for the injured player to get the best possible outcome.
Rick Kopeck has volunteered to run the short sessions when there are possible candidates to attend.
He can set up meetings in the upstairs room at Schroh. It’s a valuable session to know about the 60+ protocols and what we will do in case of an emergency.
It’s totally on a voluntary basis, but a quick listen will provide you answers you may have.
‘You want to give the same help that under similar circumstances that you would hope to receive.’
Thank you
