Health Guidelines

Updated October 6, 2023

Protocols and Guidelines are not a guarantee that we can keep everyone healthy but mitigation is our reward. These guidelines are in effect to protect you, your families and fellow players. To take advantage of the benefits there are actions we all need to take. Three Categories; Precautions, Cleanliness and Sanitation.

Precautions

  1. Risks—yes—Be smart, Be aware of your surroundings
  2. Not Feeling Well/ Sick/ Fever/ Flu like symptoms-Stay home.
  3. Proof of Vaccination is no longer mandatory. We strongly recommend that all players keep their vaccinations up to date per the guidelines of SHA.
  4. Masks—Preferred by some; but not mandatory. Be smart.
  5. Socializing If it’s a birthday or special occasion—one who brings food or drink—cleans up completely please. Wipe counters and everything in site before you leave.

Dressing Room Protocol

  1. Remove Wet Items After Each Game: Immediately after each game, please take wet stuff home like towels, undergarments, jock straps and neck guards from your stall for cleaning. Other wet items like hockey sweaters and socks should be taken home at least once every two weeks.
  2. Yellow Notice for Protocol Violations: If you don’t follow these stall protocols, you will receive a yellow notice for each instance. Repeated violations will eventually lead to a warning, which could mean losing your stall privileges as a last resort. We need everyone’s cooperation to keep the dressing room clean and free of odors.
  3. Bioesque Spray Usage: The Bioesque disinfectant spray will continue to be available for cleaning non-porous surfaces in your stall. According to the Safety Data Sheets, it’s safe to use as long as you avoid creating a wide spray that could irritate others. Please spray the surface directly and then wipe it down.
  4. Equipment Cleaning Machine: We highly recommend using the cleaning machine located in Darren’s office regularly to further reduce viruses on your equipment. We have reduced the price to $10 per use.
  5. Friday Fogging Preparation: Since the cleaning crew fogs the dressing room on Fridays, please do the following after your last game of the week: Hang any carpet samples from your stall in a way that they are off the floor and benches so the fog can reach them. Hang your sweaters in a location within your stall that allows the fog to circulate and reach all areas.
